To initiate a domain transfer, log in to your Client Area, then open the Domains menu and select Transfer Domains.
The system will ask for the domain name to transfer and the EPP or Auth Code provided by the current domain provider.
Transferring domains between providers does not affect ownership. When changing a domain provider, the ownership data remains the same.
After completing the transfer request, an invoice will be generated for the domain transfer payment.
Transferring domains to Sitios Hispanos will add one year to the domain's expiration date.
It is very important that the domain to be transferred meets the following conditions. Check the following points with your domain provider:
If the domain was recently registered or transferred, you must wait 60 days to initiate the transfer process.
Do not start the transfer process if the domain is close to its expiration date. If the domain is less than 15 days from its expiration date, it is advisable to renew it first.
The domain's Status must be ACTIVE or OK. The Locked status will not allow the transfer. You can check your domain's status using websites like https://whois.domaintools.com.
Disable the Privacy option for the domain.
The domain's contact information must be complete. The email account associated with the domain must be accessible.
Obtain the EPP Code or Auth Code for the domain to be transferred.
Once the transfer is initiated, it will be completed within the next 7 days.
When initiating the transfer, both domain providers will send an email to the contact email address of the domain to be transferred. You must respond to both emails to authorize the transfer, or the process will not be completed.
To transfer a domain to an external domain provider, make sure it meets certain requirements. Log in to your Client Area and follow these steps:
Open the Domains menu.
Then, go to My Domains.
Choose the domain you want to transfer and, on the right, open the dropdown menu.
Select Manage Domain.
