Disable wp-cron.php

This article explains how to disable the wp-cron.php file in WordPress to improve site performance. By default, WordPress runs wp-cron.php on every page load to manage scheduled tasks such as plugin updates, scheduled posts, and more. However, on high-traffic sites, this can generate unnecessary load on the server. Disabling wp-cron.php and configuring real server-level cron jobs allows more efficient control and reduces resource consumption.
